What is the "UBTC"  Urban Bible training centers are a cooperative effort of Global University and Assemblies of God U.S. Missions. The program's vision is to provide Berean School of the Bible (BSB) courses in a classroom setting along with an active mentoring program for the training and equipping of Christian laymen and ministers.

When and where are the classes held?  Classes are held one night a week from 7:00PM to 9:30PM, eight months out of the year.  There are currently three locations in the West Florida District (see locations page).

How do I register to take a course?  Students enroll in the UBTC by completing a "Student Application" (first time only) and a "Course Enrollment" form.  A pastor recommendation is also required.  These forms are available to download at this web site or by calling the UBTC Directors.

What curriculum does the UBTC use?  Students are enrolled as Global University students and therefore use the New Berean curriculum including the course's Independent Study Text.  Mentoring program utilizes the Harvester's Handbooks series.

How much does it cost?  The cost to attend the UBTC is very reasonable: $50 one time application fee and $85 per course fee.  There is an additional cost for the mentoring material at the beginning of each year.

What is the mentoring program for?   UBTC mentoring is patterned in principle after New Testament discipling, a process of training through personal relationships while active in ministry.  A mentor's own strength, resources of study and  experience, and friendship are made available to the student through personal interaction to deepen godly living and increase fruitful ministry.

How long does it take to complete the UBTC program?  The UBTC offers a two year program at the completion of which the students march in a formal cap and gown ceremony.  The two year course curriculum meets the study requirements toward credentials with the Assemblies of God.

Can I just audit a course? Yes! Anyone can enroll in a class as an audit student for only $65.  Audit students are exempt from the final exam and the mentoring program.
